Fariba Faiz is an immigration attorney focusing on investment immigration (EB-5 Direct and Regional Center and E-1/E-2 Visas), as well as employment-based temporary (O-1, H-1B, L-1, TN) and immigrant visas (EB-1, EB-2 NIW, EB-3) and family-based immigration petitions. Ms. Faiz works in partnership with foreign investors, their employees and multinational firms to transfer foreign personnel and their families to the U.S. Ms. Faiz represents employers and individuals in immigration matters before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Labor and various U.S. Consulates abroad.
In addition, Ms. Faiz and her network of trusted advisors provide consultations to potential investors or agents on matters including foreign direct investment and issues relating to compliance with the provisions of the USA PATRIOT ACT with respect to foreign investments and blocked transactions proscribed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, site location analysis and transfer of personnel, corporate governance, global tax implications, California economic development incentives, in-bound investment missions and project financing through the U.S. Export-Import (EXIM) Bank for small and medium sized ventures.
Ms. Faiz has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since 1998. She is admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court of the Northern District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit as well as the Supreme Court of California. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association’s Advisory Group and the Gershan Lehman Group.
Ms. Faiz has presented continuing legal education courses for Sterling Education Seminars as well as the San Francisco Bar Association and events organized by groups such as the Iranian Trade Association, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Innovation Norway -Silicon Valley and San Francisco, and Opinno Tech Start-Up Incubator programs. Ms. Faiz has served as a panel attorney with the Aids Legal Referral Panel (ALRP) since 2003.
